| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu rozhodování o migraci v mezinárodním kontextu. Vzhledem k tomu, že Vietnam je země se značnými migračními tendencemi, a naopak ČR tradiční cílovou zemí pro řadu Vietnamců, je relevantní zjistit, jaké mají potenciální migranti pohnutky a motivaci k realizaci pobytu v Česku. Práce si klade za cíl (1) identifikovat faktory, které mají vliv na rozhodování mladých Vietnamců emigrovat do ČR; (2) zjistit, zdali mladí Vietnamci činí své rozhodnutí o migraci sami, nebo jsou ovlivněni svou rodinou; (3) odhalit, jaký má vliv existence migračních sítí, posléze pak přítomnost vietnamské diaspory v ČR na rozhodování mladých Vietnamců emigrovat do ČR. Cíle je dosaženo zejména prostřednictvím metod kvalitativního výzkumu, konkrétně realizací polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s celkem 15 respondenty. |

| Abstract: | The submitted thesis concerns the topic of decision-making in the context of international migration. Vietnam is a country whose people have a considerable inclination towards migration, and most Vietnamese migrants have traditionally gravitated towards the Czech Republic as their country of destination. It is therefore worthwhile to consider the motives that draw these potential migrants to the Czech Republic. The present thesis focuses on three central aims: firstly, to identify the factors which influence the decision of young Vietnamese citizens to emigrate to the Czech Republic; second, to determine if the decision to emigrate is their own, or whether they are influenced by their family; and lastly, to reveal what effects the existence of migration networks and the subsequent presence of a Vietnamese diaspora in the Czech Republic have on the decision of young Vietnamese citizens to migrate to the Czech Republic. Conclusions will be based primarily on qualitative data from semi-structured interviews with fifteen respondents. |
