| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce se zabývá vývojem ženských práv v muslimském světě, konkrétně v Afghánistánu. Cílem práce je analýza a hodnocení, jakým způsobem jsou uplatňována práva žen v zemi. Diplomová práce je rozdělena do pěti kapitol. První kapitola se zabývá lidskými právy, hlavními dokumenty, které řeší otázku ženských práv, charakteristikou univerzalismu, kulturního relativismu a oba přístupy porovnává. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na práva žen v muslimské společnosti. Třetí kapitola se věnuje případové studii, která se zaměřuje na Afghánistán a celkový vývoj ženských práv v zemi. Čtvrtá kapitola analyzuje uplatňování ústavy a mezinárodních úmluv v rámci ženských práv ve vybraných oblastech a poslední kapitola vyhodnocuje zprávu Výboru pro odstranění všech forem diskriminace žen a postoj afghánské vlády. |

| Abstract: | This thesis is discussing the evolution of woman rights in the Muslim world, particularly in Afghanistan. The aim is to analyze and evaluate how the woman rights are adhered to. The thesis is divided into 5 main chapters. First chapter theoretically outlines the definition of human rights and main documents concerning woman rights. It also compares two main theoretical approaches, univesalism and cultural relativism. Second chapter presents the approach of muslim societies towards woman rights. The case study focusing on Aghanistan and evolution of woman rights in this country is discussed and analyzed in the third chapter. The fourth chapter analyzes the application of the Constitution and international conventions on women's rights in selected areas, and the last chapter analyzes the report of the Committee on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women and the Government of Afghanistan. |
