Design UX in bank sector - case study

This thesis deals with the topic of user experience and usability oriented design process of product development. Thesis´s goal is to map current situation regarding design process in Česká spořitelna, a.s., identificate weak spots and suggest new way of UX designing, which will help mitigate or completely eliminate these weak spots. I also included an advice how to incorporate this new process into new agile structure of Česká spořitelna, a.s.The thesis contains theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is dedicated to description and definition of UX, its´ benefits for society and also to the description of work positions in UX teams. Another topic is the analysis of selected design processes and the description of individual phases that make up the whole process. Part of the analysis of design processes is also a list of points in which the processes differ from each other. The last part in the theoretical section is dealing with the characteristics of agile functioning.The practical part describes the company Česká spořitelna, a.s. and its agile structure. Furthermore, I mapped the current UX design process in the bank. Mapping and description of the process also includes identifying weak spots and risks. Based on the knowledge of various design approaches from the theoretical part and information about the current process in the bank, a new UX design process is proposed not containing the identified weak spots. Finally I propose how to integrate this design process into the agile structure of Česká spořitelna, a.s.The new design process as well as the design of its integration into the current state is tested on a real project and subject of qualitative research with members of the agile team and UX designers.
