| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práce je analyzovat, jakým způsobem mezivládní organizace a státy využívají sociální média jako nástroj e-diplomacie. Za zastupitele států byly vybrány USA, za zastupitele mezivládních organizací OSN. Kromě hlavního cíle si práce také klade otázky, jak, či zda vůbec, se liší využití e-diplomacie mezi zmíněnými aktéry a zda sociální média využívají efektivně. V teoretické části je popsána historie e-diplomacie, její současnost a vysvětlena teorie, na základě které se dále vyhodnocuje efektivita využití sociálních médií. V empirické části je analyzováno využití sociálních sítí Facebooku a Twitteru jednotlivými aktéry. Poté jsou způsoby využití komparovány, z čehož autorka vyvozuje závěry. |

| Abstract: | The main objective of this thesis is to analyze how the intergovernmental organizations and states use social media as an e-diplomacy tool. The USA were chosen as a representative of states and UN as a representative of intergovernmental organizations. Besides the main objective, the thesis also asks questions what is the difference between usages of social media by both actors, if there is any at all, and if the actors use social media effectively. The history of e-diplomacy, its present and the explanation of theory, which is the base for social media usage effectivity evaluation, are included in the theoretical part. The usages of social media platforms Facebook and Twitter by each actor is analyzed in the empirical part. Then follows the comparison of the usages, which helps the author to deduce conclusions. |
