European policy in French President Emmanuel Macron's discourse

| Abstract: | Tato práce hledá vazby evropského diskurzu francouzského prezidenta Emmanuela Macrona na diskurz Roberta Schumana a rétoriku Charlese de Gaulla. Opírá se o teoretický základ věnující se diskurzivní analýze, konkrétně kritické diskurzivní analýze a její podkategorii analýze politického diskurzu. Následuje kontextuální ukotvení zkoumaného tématu v podobě stručného popisu aktuálních evropských a světových reálií. Výzkumná část analyzuje především Macronovy proslovy k Evropě a porovnává je se Schumanovou deklarací a de Gaullovou rétorikou. Cílem práce je dokázat, že Macron ve svých proslovech staví primárně na odkazu federalizace Evropy Roberta Schumana a k doplnění používá de Gaullovu rétoriku bezpečnosti a suverenity. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the European discourse of the French president Emmanuel Macron. It tries to link the discourse to ones of Robert Schuman and to the rhetoric of Charles de Gaulle. It leans on a theoretical basis that focuses on discourse analysis, specifically on critical discourse analysis and its branch of political discourse analysis. Then it presents a brief overview of European and world context related which influences Macron`s discourse. The analytical part aims to prove the primary connection to the legacy of Schuman declaration, the federalization of Europe, and then the secondary supplementary association to terms such as sovereignty and security, typical concepts for Charles de Gaulle. |
