| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práce je analýza a návrh Self Service Business Intelligence aplikace. Ta má za cíl vylepšit proces obchodního rozhodování ve vybrané pojišťovně. V teoretické části práce se porovnávají definice termínu BI. Dále tato část pokrývá důležité části dimenzionálního modelování a shrnuje charakteristiky a specifika faktových a dimenzionálních tabulek. Tato část také dává čtenáři náhled na aktivity, které jsou součástí různých fází projektu implementace BI.Praktická část se zaměřuje na dosažení zvoleného cíle. Využívá metodu zvanou dimenzionální modelování, která je popsána v teoretické části práce. Provedená analýza identifikuje běžně používané dimenze a ukazatele. Následně jsou na základě provedené analýzy navrženy faktové a dimenzionální tabulky se svými základními charakteristikami. Soubor těchto tabulek tvoří finální datový model. Výsledné reporty jsou vytvořeny pomocí nástroje Power BI.Hlavním výstupem práce je výsledná aplikace, která má svým uživatelům poskytnout komplexní informace o obchodních výsledcích. Tyto informace jim mají pomoci rozdělit odměny a mimořádné provize těm nejefektivnějším získatelům. |

| Abstract: | The main goal of this thesis is an analysis and design of a Self Service Business Intelligence application. This is meant to improve a business decision-making process in a selected insurance company.In theoretical part BI term definitions are compared. Then this part covers important parts of dimensional data modeling and summarizes characteristics and specifics of fact and dimensional tables. This part also provides the reader with an insight into activities in different phases of a BI implementation project.Practical part focuses on achieving the set goal. It uses the method called dimensional data modeling, that is described in the theoretical part. The carried out analysis identifies commonly used dimensions and facts. Then the fact and dimensional tables are designed with their basic characteristics based on this analysis. These tables form the final data model. The final reports are built with the use of Power BI tool.The main outcome is the final application which provides its users with complex business information. This information should help them to distribute bonuses and commissions to the most efficient insurance agents. |
