| Abstract: | Cílem této bakalářské práce je sledování vývoje porodnosti a plodnosti v České republice v letech 1920–2017 a na základě vybraných ukazatelů definovat, zda během tohoto období nastal v České republice babyboom. V první části se práce věnuje rešerši literatury na téma porodnosti a plodnosti, vymezení základních pojmů a charakterizuje základní metody pro sledování vývoje porodnosti a plodnosti. V souvislosti s vývojem porodnosti a plodnosti popisuje vybrané faktory, které tyto ukazatele mohou ovlivnit. Druhá část zahrnuje časové řady ukazatelů plodnosti a porodnosti v České republice, které byly zpracovány a vypočítány na základě dat Českého statistického úřadu. Poté na základě dat Eurostatu a Human Fertility Database byly vypočítány a následně srovnány vybrané ukazatele v zemích Visegrádské čtyřky. Byla provedena také přímá standardizace plodnosti v těchto zemích a jako standard byla vybrána populace České republiky. Práce také ukazuje vývoj věkové struktury v České republice v letech 1960–2018. V České republice opravdu došlo k babyboomům, a to po druhé světové válce a poté v sedmdesátých letech. V dnešní době úhrnná plodnost nedosahuje hranice prosté reprodukce a zvýšení počtu živě narozených je ovlivněno vyšším počtem žen v plodivém věku. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this bachelor thesis is to monitor the development of natality and fertility in the Czech Republic in 1920–2017 and to define whether babyboom has occurred in the Czech Republic during this period. In the first part, the thesis deals with literature research on the natality and fertility, defines the basic concepts and characterizes the basic methods for monitoring the development of natality and fertility. In the context of development of natality and fertility, it describes selected factors that may affect these indicators. The second part includes time series of natality and fertility indicators in the Czech Republic, which were processed and calculated based on data of the Czech Statistical Office. Then selected indicators were calculated and compared in the Visegrad countries based on data of the Eurostat and Human Fertility Database. In these countries was also carried out direct standardization of fertility and as a standard was chosen the population of the Czech Republic. The thesis also shows the development of the age structure in the Czech Republic in 1960–2018. In the Czech Republic babybooms really were, after World War II and then in the 1970s. Nowadays, the total fertility rate does not reach the limit of simple reproduction and the increase of the number of live births is influenced by a higher number of women in fertility age. |
