| Abstract: | Pasivní kouření ve společnosti je velmi diskutované téma již po několik posledních desetiletí. Společnost se čím dál častěji zabývá dopady pasivního kouření na své zdraví a mnohé státy tyto iniciativy zahrnují do svých legislativních opatření. Diplomová práce zkoumá dopady zavedení protikuřácké legislativy ve Velké Británii a posléze závěry aplikuje na Českou republiku. Hlavním cílem práce je potvrzení hypotézy, že zákazy kouření v pohostinských zařízeních nemají významný dopad na restaurační zařízení. Primární metodou, která je v práci použita, je analýza zavedení protikuřáckého zákona v pohostinských zařízení ve Velké Británii a její dopady na daňovou soustavu, restaurační zařízení a tabákové společnosti. Závěry analýzy jsou aplikovány na Českou republiku, která zákaz kouření v restauračních zařízeních uvedla v platnost v květnu 2017. |

| Abstract: | Passive smoking in society has been a highly discussed topic for several decades. Society is increasingly dealing with the effects of passive smoking on its health, and many countries include anti-smoking initiatives in their legislative measures. This thesis examines the impact of the introduction of anti-smoking legislation in the UK and then applies conclusions to the Czech Republic. The main objective of this thesis is to confirm the hypothesis that smoking bans in catering establishments do not have a significant impact on restaurant facilities. Primary method used in this thesis is the analysis of the introduction of anti-smoking law in hospitality facilities in the UK and its effects on the tax system, restaurant facilities and tobacco companies. The conclusions of the analysis are applied to the Czech Republic, which introduced the smoking ban in May 2017. |
