| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá cílováním inflace v České republice od roku 1998 do 1. kvartálu roku 2019. Cílem práce je zhodnotit úspěšnost ČNB v cílování inflace. Konkrétně zhodnotit úspěšnost v dosahování inflačních cílů a schopnost prognóz předvídat budoucí inflaci. V teoretické a praktické části jsou mimo literární rešerše využity metody srovnání a analýzy, doplněné o vlastní výpočty. Hlavní přidanou hodnotou práce je zpracování prognóz inflace za dané časové období a výpočty průměrných odchýlení, jak prognóz, tak inflace od inflačního cíle. Ve stěžejní kapitole praktické části o vyhodnocení úspěšnosti cílování inflace, byla potvrzena hypotéza, že ČNB svým vlivem není schopna dlouhodobě udržovat inflaci uvnitř tolerančního pásma inflačního cíle. Nicméně se v průměru nejedná o vysoká odchýlení. Prognózy vykazují značné nepřesnosti oproti skutečné míře inflace. Největším problémem při předvídání a udržování inflace poblíž cíle jsou vnější faktory. |

| Abstract: | This thesis concentrates on inflation targeting in the Czech Republic between years 1998 and first of quarter 2019. The aim of this thesis is to review the success rate of the CNB in inflation targeting. Concretely to review the success rate in reaching inflation targets and inflation forecast ability to predict future inflation. In theoretical and practical parts were used literature reviews, comparative methods and analyses together with my own calculations. The value added of this thesis is inflation forecast processing for a given time period and real as well as forecast inflation calculations of average deviation. The hypothesis that CNB is not able to maintain inflation inside the tolerance band of the inflation target in a long term, was certificated in the practical part. However, the deviations are not significant in the overall average. Forecasts show considerable inaccuracy in contrast to the real inflation rate. The greatest problem for the inflation forecast and price stability are exogenous factors. |
