| Abstract: | Cílem této diplomové práce je podat ucelený obraz o rozvoji služeb video on demand, neboli videa na vyžádání a o jeho vlivu na chování českých diváků. První kapitoly charakterizují samotný fenomén video on demand a blíže rozvádí jeho jednotlivé projevy. Čtenáře také seznamují se souvisejícími klíčovými pojmy, jako například binge-watching, cord-cutting nebo digital rights management, které ke světu služeb video on demand neodmyslitelně patří. V další části je uveden přehled a podrobnější specifika nejznámějších světových a českých video on demand portálů působících na našem trhu. Druhá polovina práce zkoumá vliv rozvoje služeb video on demand na chování českého diváka pomocí analýzy dotazníkového šetření, jež vzniklo pro účely této diplomové práce a bylo provedeno mezi výzkumným vzorkem respondentů ve věku 19 až 35 let. |

| Abstract: | The aim of this work is to give a comprehensive account of the development of video on demand services and its influence on the behavior of Czech viewers. The first chapters characterize the phenomenon of video on demand itself and elaborate on its particular definitions. The readers are also introduced to related key terms such as binge-watching, cord-cutting and digital rights management, which are important components in the world of video on demand services. In the next part, there is an overview of the most world famous video on demand services as well as most famous Czech services of this type reachable on the Czech market. The second half of the thesis examines the influence of the video on demand development on the Czech viewer behavior through the analysis of the questionnaire, which was created for the purpose of this thesis and was conducted among the research sample of respondents in the age of 19 to 35 years. |
