| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá dopady, které slovinskému Mariboru přinesl titul Evropské hlavní město kultury. Teoretická část seznamuje čtenáře s reáliemi Slovinska a Mariboru, důraz je kladen především na historický, kulturní a sociální kontext formující lokální kulturní scénu. Práce podrobně zkoumá projekt Evropské hlavní město kultury. Na základě podobné metodiky, jakou používá Evropská komise, evaluuje dopady projektu Evropské hlavní město kultury Maribor 2012. Primárním zdrojem jsou rozhovory s významnými osobami, spojenými s projektem. Kódováním byla vyvozena nejdůležitější témata, která práce následně porovnává s analýzou sekundárních materiálů. Zdrojem poučení je také aplikovaný model projektu EHMK, popsaný ve shrnutí a závěru práce. |

| Abstract: | Diploma thesis examines the impacts of the title European Capital of Culture on Slovenian Maribor. Theoretical part introduces readers to the realities of Slovenia and Maribor, emphasis is place on historical, cultural and social contexts, forming the local cultural scene. The work elaborately examines the European Capital of Culture project. Evaluates the impacts of the European Capital of Culture project Maribor 2012, applying the similar methodology used by the European Commission. The primary source are interviews with important people associated with the project. Coding was used to deduce the most important topics, which the work then compares with the analysis of secondary materials. Inspirational is also applied model of the ECOC project, described in the summary and conclusion of the thesis. |
