| Abstract: | Tato práce zachycuje vývoj letecké dopravy jako takové, v rámci celého vývoje je však primárně zaměřena na příchod nízkonákladového segmentu do letecké dopravy a analýzu toho, jaký dopad měla celkově deregulace na letecký průmysl, a jaké kroky v minulosti činili a v současnosti činí tradiční dopravci ve způsobu fungování za účelem adaptace a udržení konkurenceschopnosti vůči nízkonákladovým leteckým dopravcům. V praktické části je provedena analýza na základě několika charakteristik a způsobů fungování leteckých společností, v oblasti kterých se tradiční a nízkonákladoví dopravci lišili od doby, kdy na leteckém trhu začaly operovat vedle sebe. |

| Abstract: | This thesis presents the history of aviation itself, and within the history it particularly focuses on the entrance of low cost segment to the commercial aviation and the analysis of what impact had the deregulation in overall on the air transport industry, and what steps have been traditional airlines undertaking in the past and nowadays in terms of operation for the purpose of adaptation and sustaining competitiveness towards low cost airlines. Analysis is conducted in the practical section of this thesis based on several characteristics and principles of airline operation, in the area of which traditional airlines and low cost airlines differed from the time they started operating on the aviation market next to each other. |
