| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na audit SME – jeho specifika a přínosy pro auditované společnosti. Hlavní cíl práce je zjistit, jak SME vnímají audit a jaké v něm vidí přínosy. V práci je zdůrazněna důležitost SME pro českou i evropskou ekonomiku. První tři kapitoly se zabývají rešerší literatury. V těchto kapitolách jsou definovány základní pojmy jako je SME, audit či SMP. Ve třetí kapitole je proveden souhrn vybrané světové literatury zabývající se přínosem auditu. V posledních dvou kapitolách jsou analyzována dotazníková šetření, která byla zaslána SME a bankám v České republice. Na vzorku 127 podniků jsme zjistili, že většina firem by audit dobrovolně nepoptávala. Hlavní přínosy auditu pro SME v České republice jsou ujištění o správnosti účetnictví, zvýšení důvěry v rámci podnikatelského prostředí podniku a možnost, jak si snížit úrokovou sazbu u bankovního úvěru. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on an audit of SMEs – specifics and benefits for audited companies. The main objective of the thesis is to detect how SMEs perceive audit and what benefits do they see in it. The thesis pinpoints the importance of SMEs for the Czech and European economy. The thesis consists of five chapters. The first three chapters summarise findings of audit benefits from selected world literature. The last two chapters analyse the questionnaires sent to SMEs and banks in the Czech Republic. We observed on a sample of 127 companies that most companies would not voluntarily undergo an audit. The main benefits of an audit for SMEs in the Czech Republic are assurance about the accounting correctness, increased confidence among the company´s stakeholders and the possibility to decrease the interest rate on a bank loan. |
