| Abstract: | Předmětem této bakalářské práce je komparace pěti vybraných kryptoměn. Pro větší porozumění problematice kryptoměn jsou první dvě kapitoly věnovány penězům a digitálním měnám. Ve třetí kapitole jsou obecně popsány kryptoměny a jejich principy fungování. Ve čtvrté kapitole jsou vybrané kryptoměny charakterizovány a je poukázáno na jejich výhody, nevýhody i případná rizika. V závěrečné části je provedena analýza vývoje tržních cen daných kryptoměn s větším zaměřením na bitcoin. Analýza obsahuje srovnání vývoje tržní ceny bitcoinu s historickými spekulativními bublinami, výpočet korelačních koeficientů mezi tržními cenami vybraných kryptoměn a následně jsou analyzovány dva markantní propady tržní ceny bitcoinu. Přínosem práce je ucelený pohled na danou problematiku v širších souvislostech, poukázání na nevyzrálost kryptoměnového trhu, ale i na potenciál kryptoměn. |

| Abstract: | The subject of this bachelor‘s thesis is a comparison of five selected cryptocurrencies. For a greater understanding of cryptocurrencies, the first two chapters cover money and digital currencies. The third chapter generally describes cryptocurrencies and their principles of functioning. The fourth chapter is dedicated to describing chosen cryptocurrencies and to point out their advantages, disadvantages and possible risks. The final part analyses the development of market prices of those cryptocurrencies with a focus on bitcoin. The analysis contains a comparisson of historical bitcoin price development with historical speculative bubbles, calculation of correlation coefficients between market prices of chosen cryptocurrencies and analysis of two striking market price falls. The contribution of this bachelor‘s thesis is a comprehensive view of this issue in broader context, pointing out immaturity of cryptocurrency market but also potential of cryptocurrencies. |
