| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této práce je pomocí gravitačního modelu určit relevantní determinanty exportu zboží z vybraných afrických LDCs v letech 2000 až 2016 a kvantifikovat jejich vliv na hodnotu vývozu, přičemž pozornost je věnována hlavně zhodnocení těch veličin, které mohou být ovlivněny změnami politik státu. Použitá panelová data v plném rozsahu zahrnují 49 vysvětlujících proměnných, 30 exportérů a 218 potenciálních importujících zemí. Bylo vypracováno celkem šest ekonometrických modelů, založených na odhadu pomocí metody nejmenších čtverců (OLS). Kromě kontrolních proměnných (např. vzdálenosti, sdílení hranic, koloniální vazby či míry otevřenosti ekonomiky importéra) se podařilo prokázat také statisticky významný vliv koncentrace vývozu (negativní), zapojení do obchodních dohod (pozitivní), využívání stejné měny (pozitivní), míry inflace ve vyvážející zemi (negativní) a velikosti šedé ekonomiky (negativní). V rámci této práce je rovněž zachycen aktuální stav mezinárodního obchodu se zbožím vybraných států a jeho vývoj od počátku tisíciletí. |

| Abstract: | The main aim of this thesis is to assess relevant determinants of export of goods from selected African LDCs in the period from 2000 to 2016 employing the gravity model and to quantify their impact on the value of exports, with special attention being paid to the evaluation of those variables that may be affected by changes in national policies. The panel data used include 49 explanatory variables, 30 exporters and 218 potential importing countries. Six econometric models, all based on the OLS method, were constructed. In addition to control variables (e.g. distance, adjacency, colonial relationship or the degree of openness of the importing country), a statistically significant influence was also found by export concentration (negative), participation in trade agreements (positive), common currency (positive), inflation rate of the exporting country (negative) and size of the shadow economy (negative). This work also reviews the current state of international trade in goods of the selected countries and its development since the beginning of the millennium. |
