| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá srovnáním úrovně států pomocí metody analýzy obalu dat. V textu jsou definovány státy OECD jako zkoumané produkční jednotky. V teoretické části jsou popsány důležité ukazatele životní úrovně a kvality života a různé přístupy měření efektivnosti jednotek. Zejména modely DEA, které jsou následně využity v praktické části pro analýzu efektivnosti států OECD z hlediska zdraví, vzdělávání a bohatství. Cílem diplomové práce je ověřit, zda je metoda analýzy obalu dat vhodná metoda ke srovnávání úrovně států. V rámci práce je sestaven žebříček států na základě jednotlivých modelů DEA a zároveň je provedeno porovnání s vybranými metodami vícekriteriálního hodnocení variant. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with a comparison of the living standards of different countries using Data Envelopment Analysis. OECD countries are defined as decision making units. Important indicators of the standard of living and quality of life and various approaches to measuring unit efficiency are described in a theoretic part of the thesis. Especially the DEA models, which are then used in the practical part to analyze the efficiency of OECD countries in terms of health, education and wealth.The aim of the thesis is to verify whether the method of data envelopment analysis is a suitable method for comparing the living standards. Rank of the countries based on individual DEA models is compiled and compared with selected methods of multicriterial decision making. |
