Brexit and the future business prospective between the UK and the EU

This study examines the possible trade models in the Post-Brexit era based on the trade agreements previously establishes by the European Union with non-EU member states. In particular, it focuses on the EFTA, Swiss, Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, Free Trade Agreement, Partnership, the Customs Union and WTO models. The thesis analyses how the business environment and trade conditions can be effected by the chosen model and depict which conditions are preferable for the UK and the EU. The complexity of the on-going process brings uncertainty negatively influencing all the involved parties, which quantitively remains vague. The UK automobile industry is taken as the example to show possible costs introduced by the no-deal scenario and display how the UK is integrated in international supply chains.
