| Abstract: | Sdružení národů jihovýchodní Asie (ASEAN) je nejvýznamnějším regionálním uskupením v jihovýchodní Asii. Dosáhlo od svého založení v roce 1967 mimořádného pokroku. Bylo přeměněno na stále více regulovanou, dynamickou a kreativní platformu pro obchod, a proto mnozí tento ekonomický region považují za nejrychleji se rozvíjející na světě.Cílem diplomové práce je zkoumání integračních procesů ASEAN v jihovýchodní Asii a jeho vlivu na rozvoj tohoto regionu. Po stručném představení ASEAN a jeho vývoje budou v rámci této práce diskutovány role a vliv tohoto regionálního aktéra na rozvoj celého regionu jako celku. Práce je zaměřena jak na mimoekonomické aspekty, jako je rozvojová a bezpečnostní oblast, tak na ekonomický aspekt. V diplomové práci budou hodnoceny úspěchy a výzvy tohoto uskupení, míra vzájemné spolupráce mezi jeho členy, vztahy s vnějšími partnery a možný vývoj integrace. |

| Abstract: | The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is the most important regional organization in Southeast Asia. It has made extraordinary progress since its establishment in 1967. It has been transformed into an increasingly regulated, dynamic and creative business platform, and so the region is economically considered the fastest growing in the world.The aim of this thesis is to explore ASEAN integration processes in Southeast Asia and its influence on the development of this region. After a brief presentation of ASEAN and its development, this paper will discuss the role and influence of this regional actor on the development of the region as a whole. The work is focused on non-economic aspects, such as development and security, as well as economic aspects. The diploma thesis will evaluate the achievements and challenges of this organization, the scale of mutual cooperation between its members, relations with external partners and possible development of integration. |
