| Abstract: | Diplomová práce testuje hypotézu rakouské školy o (ne)efektivnosti vládních výdajů. Cíl je interpretován jako zjištění velikosti fiskálního multiplikátoru v DSGE modelu. V práci je postupně shrnuta literatura ohledně rakouské školy, DSGE modelů a efektivnosti fiskální politiky. Stěžejní část práce odvozuje středně velký DSGE model s řadou strnulostí reflektující trendy poslední doby. Po odvození je představen nakalibrovaný dynare skript a interpretovány výsledky. Hlavními zjištěními jsou, že fiskální politika v modelové ekonomice nezvyšuje produkt natolik, aby byl považována za efektivní. Fiskální multiplikátor je tak menší než 1. Šok do spotřebních daní naopak paradoxně zvyšuje produkt. |

| Abstract: | Diplome thesis tests an austrian school‘s hypotesis about (in)effectiveness of government expenditures. This goal is then interpreted as a computing the size of fiscal multiplier in DSGE model. In the paper you can find literature summary about austrian school, DSGE models and the effectiveness of fiscal policy. Main part of this thesis is the medium-scale DSGE model with numerous stickiness itself. After the math you can see calibrated dynare script and intepreted result. The key findings in this paper are that fiscal policy in our model economy is not raising the output enough to worthy. Long story short, fiscal mutiplier is lower then 1. Shock to consumption taxes on the other hand boosts product. |
