| Abstract: | Diplomová práce je zaměřena na analýzu efektivnosti českých veřejných knihoven. Na základě dat v databázi Benchmarking knihoven je zkoumáno 28 veřejných knihoven sídlících v obci s 20 001 až 40 000 obyvateli v České republice za rok 2018. Analýza je provedena čtyřmi modely využívajícími metodu datových obalů DEA. Efektivnost je hodnocena pomocí nákladů na pořízení knihovního fondu, počtu zaměstnanců a celkových provozních nákladů na straně vstupů a objemu knihovního fondu, počtu návštěv a počtu výpůjček na straně výstupů.
Na základě výsledků jsou určeny efektivní knihovny a neefektivním knihovnám je doporučena úprava vstupů a výstupů vedoucí k efektivnosti. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis is focused on the efficiency analysis of Czech municipal libraries. It is examined 28 municipal libraries of municipalities with 20 001–40 000 inhabitants in the Czech Republic in 2018 based on data from Benchmarking of Libraries database. The analysis is provided by four models using Data Envelopment Analysis method. Efficiency is evaluated by following inputs: the costs of acquiring the library collection, the number of employees and the total operating costs; and by following outputs: the volume of the library collection, the number of visits and the number of borrowings. Based on results there are determined efficient libraries and recommended input and output modifications for inefficient libraries leading to efficiency. |
