| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá projekty e-freight a zejména e-AWB, iniciativou, kterou zhruba před deseti lety spustila Mezinárodní asociace leteckých dopravců (IATA). Záměrem projektu je eliminovat tištěné přepravní dokumenty, které jsou nebo donedávna byly v oboru letecké přepravy zásilek nutností, a tím šetřit čas, peníze i životní prostředí. Cílem práce je celý projekt blíže představit a zhodnotit jeho úspěšnost, a to za pomocí oficiálních statistik, poskytovaných a pravidelně aktualizovaných organizací IATA, tak díky postojům, zkušenostem a názorům odborníků, zástupců firem působících v odvětví. I když záměrem projektu bylo do roku 2015 dosáhnout přeprav kompletně bez nutnosti tištění papírových dokumentů, ukazuje se, že šlo o příliš optimistický pohled. Celé toto úsilí dodnes doprovází úskalí v podobě legislativních překážek a neochotě některých subjektů se přizpůsobit trendu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the recent projetcs e-freight and particullary e-AWB, which have been launched and supported ten years ago by the International Air Transport Assosiation (IATA). The intention of the projects is to eliminate the air waybill, or rather all the paper documents (e-freight) which are or recently have been necessary for the succesfull process of the internation air freight transport. No need of printing documents should save time, money, and environment. The goal of the thesis is to provide the reader with details about the projects, to describe the advantages of joining to the initiative and to evaluate its succes in air freight. This is done by analyzing the available statistics provided and regularly updated by IATA and by interviewing the experts from airlines, freight forwarders and ground handling agents. Even there was a goal of the projects to completely eliminate printed documents in air freight by the year 2015, there are still many difficulties which are making this impossible today. |
