| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je seznámit čtenáře s private equity fondy a jejich rozhodovacím procesem v rámci investičního procesu. V úvodní části představím private equity a vývoj tohoto způsobu investování, současný stav v České republice a Evropě. Dále objasním fungování private equity fondů od získání finančních prostředků až po exit portfoliových firem. Důležitou kapitolou pak bude vysvětlení investičních strategií fondů a aplikace této strategie při rozhodování. Práce bude přínosná zejména tím, že v druhé části bude reálně simulovat rozhodovací proces na základě konkrétních podmínek daného fondu. V rámci této části budou stanovena konkrétní rozhodovací kritéria, která tento fond bude uvažovat při hodnocení jednotlivých investičních příležitostí. |

| Abstract: | The main aim of the thesis is to familiarize the readers with private equity funds and their decision making process within the investment process. In the opening part I will introduce private equity and the development of this method of investing, its current situation in the Czech Republic and Europe. Furthermore I will guide the readers through the operation of private equity funds from fundraising to the exit of the portfolio companies. In the next chapter I will strive to explain the investment strategies and the application of these strategies in decision making. The work will be particularly beneficial in that in the second part it will simulate the decision-making process in real terms based on specific requirements of an actual fund. Within this section, specific decision criteria will be identified which this particular fund will consider when assessing individual investment opportunities. |
