| Abstract: | Globalizace, díky níž došlo k enormnímu rozmachu civilní letecké dopravy, je doprovázena i různými negativními důsledky, které se nazývají globální hrozby. Pro bezpečnost civilního letectví představuje nejzávažnější ohrožení globální terorismus, který vykazuje známky asymetrického boje. Tato práce zkoumá efektivnost globálních protiteroristických mechanizmů, jejichž úkolem je chránit civilní leteckou dopravu. Praktická část práce má formu evaluační případové studie, která je rozdělena do dvou částí. První se věnuje efektivnosti Mezinárodní organizace pro civilní letectví a její roli, jakožto aktéra global governance v civilní letecké dopravě. Druhá část zkoumá efektivnost globálních bezpečnostních opatření, jež vznikla na půdě této odborné organizace přidružené k OSN. Krom zhodnocení úrovně global governance a její účinnosti obsahuje diplomová práce také nastínění možných budoucích hrozeb, které by mohly narušit bezpečnost civilní letecké dopravy. |

| Abstract: | On the one hand globalization has caused a massive expansion of civil aviation but on the other hand it is accompanied by many negative consequences that are called global threats. Concerning civil aviation security, global terrorism is the most dangerous phenomenon. The thesis is examining effectiveness of global antiterrorism mechanism that protects civil aviation. For empirical part a case study was chosen as a research method and it is divided into two sections. The first is focused on the efficiency of the International Civil Aviation Organization and its role as an actor of global governance. The second part examines effectiveness of global security measures created by this UN specialized agency. Apart from evaluation of the level of global governance and its effectiveness, the thesis mentions future possible threats of this industry. |
