Writeback extension for data visualization tool Tableau

The aim of this master thesis is to describe the usage of extension API toolkit to createa functional extension writeback for the visualisation tool Tableau. The extensionwriteback enables to write and store data into a database where the user can access it anduse it to create visualisations. The main aim of the work is to create a fully functionaldemo and to find possible ways, how the extension can be used. To achieve this aim,the thesis theoretical part of the work is about planning process in companies, forecasting,reports, describing of the visualisation tool Tableau and then lastly about the extensionAPI. The pratical part of the work is related to the functional demo, its specifics how it wascreated, how to run the demo. The last part is about the suggestions and ideas, how theextension can be implemented and what are the use cases. The main output of the masterthesis is a fully functional interactive report, where the data can be written and thenloaded. In the final part of the master thesis, the work will be summerized and the workwill be finalised with a word about the future development of the extension, what can beimproved and implemented in the future versions of the extension writeback.
