| Abstract: | Předkládaná práce si klade za cíl zmapovat remitenční toky z ČR do Vietnamu. S využitím polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a dotazníkového šetření byly analyzovány otázky spojené s motivací k zasílání remitencí a s jejich socioekonomickým dopadem v cílové destinaci. Zkoumány byly též preferované metody převodů a jejich využití. Z výpovědí zástupců vietnamské komunity žijících v ČR a příjemců remitencí žijících ve Vietnamu bylo zjištěno, že remitence proudící do Vietnamu jsou primárně využívány k okamžité spotřebě. V neposlední řadě se předkládaná práce snažila ověřit předpoklad o genderově podmíněných odlišnostech v remitenčním chování zasílatelů i příjemců. Výsledky realizovaného výzkumu potvrzují, že rozdíly mezi jednotlivým pohlavím se vyskytují i mezi Vietnamskými remitenty. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with remittance flows flowing from the Czech Republic to Vietnam. Using semi-structured interviews and a questionnaire survey, questions related to the motivation and socio-economic impact of remittances in the target destination were analysed. Preferred transfer methods and their utilization were also examined. Based on testimonies of representatives of the Vietnamese community living in the Czech Republic and recipients of remittances living in Vietnam, it was found that remittances flowing to Vietnam are primarily used for immediate consumption. Assuming the existence of a gender difference in remittance behaviour, another objective of the thesis was to verify this hypothesis on the Vietnamese community living in the Czech Republic. The results of the research confirm that differences between individual sexes also occur among Vietnamese remittants. |
