| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá britskou zahraniční politikou v období vlády premiéra Tonyho Blaira mezi lety 1997-2007. Cílem je analyzovat zahraniční politiku a zhodnotit jakou pozici Velká Británie zastávala ve vztahu k USA a Evropě, zda byla tato politika vyrovnaná a jestli byla v souladu s tradicemi britské zahraniční politiky ve dvacátém století. Práce je dělena do tří kapitol. První kapitola využívá metodu historické deskripce a zaměřuje se na vztahy Británie s USA a Evropou po druhé světové válce. Druhá kapitola se věnuje rozboru politiky Třetí cesty a analýze konceptu zahraniční politiky Tonyho Blaira, na což navazuje třetí kapitola analýzou zahraniční politiky ve vztahu k USA a Evropě. Analýza vychází především z primárních zdrojů – volebních manifest, programů vlády a projevů Tonyho Blaira. |

| Abstract: | The topic of this thesis is the British foreign policy during the premiership of Tony Blair in years 1997-2007. The aim is to analyze foreign policy and assess the position of United Kingdom in relation to the United states and Europe, whether this policy was balanced and whether it was in line with the traditions of British foreign policy in the twentieth century. The thesis is divided into three chapters. The first chapter uses the method of historical description and focuses on the relations of Britain with the US and Europe after World War II. The second chapter analysis the policy of the Third Way and the foreign policy concept of Tony Blair. Third chapter analysis the foreign policy in relation to the US and Europe. The analysis is based mainly on primary sources - election manifesto, government programs and speeches by Tony Blair. |
