| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou kryptoměn, jejich postavením v mezinárodním obchodě a možným budoucím vývojem. Teoretická část definuje peníze, jejich historii a funkci. Dále jsou popsány kryptoměny a technologie blockchainu, na které jsou virtuální měny založeny. Metodou komparace jsou definovány vzájemné rozdíly obou měn. Hlavní část práce pojednává o postavení kryptoměn v mezinárodním obchodě, tvorbě státních kryptoměn a využívání virtuálních měn při nelegálních aktivitách. Na tuto část navazuje regulace kryptoměn, jelikož s jejich popularitou rostou i opatření a kontrola jednotlivých států. Různé regulační strategie jsou popsány a vysvětleny na příkladu Spojených států amerických, Číny a Jižní Koreji. V závěrečné části jsou následně analyzovány tweety věnující se Bitcoinu z pohledu sentimentu a počtu tweetů v rámci časové řady, z čehož jsou vyvozeny korelace, či dlouhodobé trendy. Tyto poznatky jsou aplikovány metodou syntézy na probíraná témata v této práci. |

| Abstract: | The thesis deals with the topic of cryptocurrencies, their position in international trade and possible future development. The theoretical part defines money, its history and its function. Next, the cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies on which virtual currencies are based are described. The comparing method defines mutual differences between both currencies. The main part of the thesis deals with the status of cryptocurrencies in international trade, the creation of state cryptocurrencies and the use of virtual currencies in illegal activities. This part is followed by the regulation of cryptocurrencies, as the popularity of virtual currencies is growing. The different regulatory strategies are described and explained in the example of the United States, China and South Korea. In the final part, tweets about Bitcoin are analyzed in terms of sentiment and number of tweets within the time series, from which correlations or long-term trends are derived. These findings are applied by the method of synthesis to the topics discussed in this thesis. |
