| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá analýzou procesů plánování poptávky ve vybrané výrobní firmě. Za cíl si klade vysvětlit význam a vztah demand planningu k ostatním činnostem firmy, analyzovat současný způsob plánování poptávky ve vybrané firmě a navrhnout způsoby optimalizace tohoto procesu. Jako zdroj informací sloužily převážně rozhovory, pozorování i samotné vykonávání práce autorem v dané firmě. Práce zasazuje demand planning do kontextu v rámci oddělení logistiky, marketingu a obchodního oddělení. Závěrem je navrhnuto několik návrhů za zefektivnění procesu, například automatizace některých činností vykonávaných demand plannery, zavedení nového KPI či větší důslednost při uvádění nových výrobků a inovací na trh. |

| Abstract: | The subject of this thesis is analysis of the demand planning processes in a selected manufacturing company. The goals of the thesis are to explain the importance and connections of demand planning to other processes in the company, to analyse the existing way of demand planning and to suggest possible improvements. As for the sources of information, interviews, job observation and job performing itself have been used primarily. The thesis sets demand planning into the context of the whole company. After the in-detail analysis of the process, several enhancements such as automation of certain tasks done by demand planners, introduction of a new key performance indicator or greater awareness during induction of new products and innovations have been suggested. |
