| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce je analýza konkurenceschopnosti vysokorychlostní železniční a letecké dopravy ve vybraných státech v Evropě. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, a to teoretické a praktické. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy a definice týkající se dopravy a osobní dopravy obecně. Druhá část je zaměřena na analýzu vysokorychlostní a letecké dopravy ve vybraných zemích a vzájemné porovnání. Na základě výsledků analýzy jsou v poslední kapitole uvedeny návrhy a opatření, které by mohly vést ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti jednotlivého typu dopravy. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the Master’s thesis is to analyze the competitiveness of high-speed rail and air transport in selected countries in Europe. Thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical part and practical part. The theoretical part explain the basic concepts and definitions related to transport in general and passenger transport. The second part is focused on the high-speed railways and air transport in selected countries. Based on the results of the analysis, there are several suggestions that can be implemented for the competitiveness of transport-type individuals. |
