Analysis of the impact of anti-dumping measures on the Czech Republic and the European Union imposed by the European Union on imports of selected commodities of the Russian Federation and the People's Republic of China in 2007-2018

| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce analyzuje vliv antidumpingových opatření na dovoz vybraných komodit do České republiky z Ruské federace a Čínské lidové republiky a na celkový vývoz vybraných komodit z České republiky a Evropské unie v letech 2007 a 2018. V teoretické části autor popisuje historický vývoj celnictví a ekonomických přístupů týkajících se problematiky cla. Dále definuje pojem clo, dumping a antidumping. Autor popisuje celní řízení v České republice, společnou obchodní politiku Evropské unie a věnuje se také roli Světové obchodní organizace. V praktické části autor analyzuje uvalená antidumpingová cla na vybrané komodity, která jsou posléze vyžita k analýze velikosti dovozu vybraných komodit do České republiky z Ruské federace a Čínské lidové republiky a k analýze celkového vývozu vybraných komodit z České republiky a Evropské unie. Autor následně zjišťuje a vyhodnocuje, zda antidumpingová opatření měla vliv na snížení dovozu dotčených komodit či zvýšení jejich vývozu. První hypotézu, že přijatá antidumpingových opatření vedla k poklesu dovozu vybraných komodit do České republiky, dovážených z Ruské federace a Čínské lidové republiky, autor potvrzuje. U druhé hypotézy, zda případná účinnost přijatých antidumpingových opatření vedla ke zvýšení celkového vývozu komodit z České republiky a Evropské unie, autor potvrzuje jen její první část, týkající se vývozů z České republiky. Na druhou část hypotézy, týkající se vývozu z Evropské unie, autor nereaguje. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis analyzes the impact of anti - dumping measures on imports of selected commodities to the Czech Republic from the Russian federation and the People’s Republic of China and on total exports of selected commodities from the Czech Republic and the European Union in 2007 and 2018. In the theoretical part of the thesis the author describes the historical development of customs as well as economic approaches to the customs issues. It also defines the term of customs duties, dumping and anti-dumping. The author describes customs control in the Czech Republic, common comercial policy of the European Union and also pays attention to the role of World Trade Organization. In the practical part of the thesis the author analyzes imposed anti-dumping customs on selected commodities, which are later used to analyze the size of imports of selected commodities to the Czech Republic from the Russian federation and the People’s Republic if China and to analyze the total exports of selected commodities from the Czech Republic and European Union. Then the author determines and evaluates the impact of anti-dumping measures on the reduction of imports of those commodities or on the increase of their exports.The first hypothesis – that the anti – dumping measures taken led to the decrease of imports of selected commodities to the Czech Republic exported from the Russian federation and the People’s Republic of China has been confirmed by the author. Regarding the second hypothesis – whether the possible effectiveness of the anti – dumping measures taken led to the total increase of exports of commodities from the Czech Republic and the European Union, author confirms only its first part concerning exports from the Czech Republic. Regarding the second part of the hypothesis the author doesn’t react. |
