Participation of students of public and private economic universities on the labor market in Czech Republic in 2019

| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou účasti studentů ekonomických vysokých škol na trhu práce v průběhu jejich studia. V teoretické části je popsáno vzdělávání a fungování trhu práce, vysvětlen pojem lidský kapitál a jeho těsné souvislosti právě s trhem práce a vzděláváním. Praktická část ve svém úvodu představuje problematiku vzdělávání v České republice. Dále je zde analyzován vývoj celkového počtu studentů od roku 2008. V prvních letech sledovaného období docházelo k mírnému nárůstu studujících, od roku 2011 se však trend změnil a studentů výrazně ubývalo, přičemž nejvýraznější pokles zaznamenaly právě obory s ekonomickým zaměřením. K samotné analýze participace studentů na trhu práce je využito dotazníkového šetření, jehož se zúčastnilo 354 respondentů. Na základě dat z dotazníku je možné zodpovědět výzkumné otázky. Mezi studenty bakalářských a magisterských programů existují rozdíly v účasti na trhu práce, které souvisí zejména s blížícím se přechodem magisterských studentů do produktivního věku. K nejvýznamnějším rozdílům v účasti na trhu práce mezi studenty veřejných a soukromých vysokých škol patří práce v oboru studia a hlavní důvod proč pracují. Studenti veřejných škol mnohem častěji pracují alespoň z části ve svém studijním oboru. Studenti soukromých škol v drtivé většině pracují z důvodu získání financí, zatímco pro studenty veřejných škol je také často důležitým faktorem získání praxe. |

| Abstract: | This Bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of participation economic university students who are part of the labor market during their studies. In theoretical part it is described education and functioning of the labor market, furthermore there is explained human capital and its tight connection to labor market and education. Practical part firstly introduce problematics of education in Czech Republic. Furthemore, there is analyzed total numbers of development for students since 2008. In the first years of a reporting period, there was a slight growth of students, but since 2011 the trend reversed and the number of students decreased significantly. The most astonishing decline was for students with an economic field of study. The analysis of university students, who are employed during their studies use survey, which was filled by 354 respondents Based on data from survey, it is possible to answer researched questions. Among students of bachelor and masters programs, there are differences in participation within labor market, which are mainly related to upcoming transition of master students into productive age. The biggest differences among students of public and private universities are work in the field of study and their main reason why they work. Students of public universities more tend to work at least partially in field of study. Students of private universities work majorly due to financial wealth, whereas priorities of students from private universities also lie in work experience. |
