| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá extrakcí metadat z business intelligence nástrojů pro reporting, transformaci dat a analýzu. Cílem práce je popsat způsoby a principy programové extrakce metadat z business intelligence nástrojů pomocí programovacího jazyka C#. Hlavním přínosem této práce jsou popsané postupy a principy programové extrakce metadat z business intelligence nástrojů od firmy Microsoft a vzorové zdrojové kódy programovacího jazyka C# řešící úlohy v rámci extrakce. Práce je členěna do tří částí. První teoretická část obsahuje stručný popis metadat a využití vyextrahovaných metadat pro business intelligence řešení a projekty. Druhá část obsahuje stručný popis principů extrakce metadat z datových skladů, ETL balíčků, OLAP databází a statických reportů. Třetí část se detailně zaměřuje na popsání návrhu a realizace C# programu sloužícího pro extrakci metadat z reportů vytvořených v Power BI Desktop a nasazených na Power BI Service. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with metadata extraction from business intelligence tools for reporting, data transformation and analysis. Goal of this thesis is to describe ways and principles of programmatic metadata extraction for business intelligence tools using C# programming language. The main benefit of this thesis are descriptions of process of programmatic metadata extraction for Microsoft business intelligence tools and sample source coded solving tasks in extraction. This thesis is structured into three main parts. First theoritical parts contains brief description of metadata and usage of extracted metadata for business intelligence solutions and projects. Second part contains brief description of principles for metadata extraction from data warehouses, ETL packages, OLAP databases and static reports. Third part focuses on detailed description of design and realization of C# program for metadata extraction from reports created in Power BI Desktop and deployed on Power BI Service. |
