Simulation of warehouse operations at logistics provider

This thesis is focused on computer discrete simulations creation. At first, the theoretical part presents current trends in the field of warehousing and material management, then it focuses on simulation techniques and computer modelling. In the practical part of the thesis is introduced company HOPI s.r.o. with whose contribution the thesis was created. Then, the Simio software is introduced, thesis practical part objectives are presented and follows description of created model. In the last part of the text experiments are performed and data from different scenarios are compared. Main objective of the thesis is to create a simulation of the real pallet warehouse with frozen goods. Other objectives are, verify the possibility of creating warehouse objects in the Simio program and imitation of the reception, storage and removal processes. In last part conduct experiments and measure pre-selected data when changing input parameters.
