| Abstract: | Tato diplomová práce komplexně mapuje a analyzuje fenomén korupce v Mexiku, její ekonomické souvislosti a situaci okolo boje s korupcí v zemi v posledních letech. Zároveň je prostor věnován také některým doprovodným faktorům korupce, jako např. obchodu s drogami. V první části se práce zaměřuje na korupci jako takovou, metody jejího měření, její příčiny a ekonomické dopady, a také vznik a rozvoj korupce v zemi. Druhá kapitola cílí již přímo na Mexiko a jeho boj proti korupci, zahrnuje představení hlavních aktérů tohoto konfliktu a také konkrétních reforem a způsobů boje s korupcí, přičemž pro detailnější dokreslení situace jsou následně využity i některé významné korupční aféry a případy. Poslední část se pak věnuje hodnocení a analýze mexického protikorupčního boje, jeho ekonomickým souvislostem, současné ekonomické situaci země a také možnému budoucímu vývoji. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis comprehensively maps and analyzes the phenomenon of corruption in Mexico, its economic context and the situation around the fight against corruption in the country in the recent years. At the same time, there is a space dedicated also to some accompanying factors of corruption, such as drug trafficking. The first part of thesis focuses on corruption as such, methods of measuring it, its causes and economic impacts, as well as the origin and development of corruption in the country. The second chapter focuses directly on Mexico and its fight against corruption, including an introduction of the main actors in the conflict, as well as specific reforms and ways to fight corruption, while some important corruption scandals and cases are used to illustrate the situation in more detail. The last part deals with the evaluation and analysis of the Mexican anti-corruption struggle, its economic context, the current economic situation of the country and also the possible future developments. |
