Abstract:
This topic is important because it is about small states and how they behave to survive in international relations. The behavior of their foreign policy is determined by four strategies and in my thesis, it is an example of Georgia. The paper is about the foreign policy of Georgia and the main aim is to understand, which strategies are used to achieve goals. The information was taken from books, websites, media, articles. The result is based on Georgia’s representation, which uses its strategies. The argument is that despite Georgia’s challenges and problems it still tries to integrate into the West and keeps distance from a big neighbor and Post- Soviet space. Based on applied strategies there was discovered that Georgia is represented as a country, which is looking for an alliance, shelter, strategic partners from the strategy of shelter. It fights against COVID and does reforms, which can be useful for integration into the Western world from smart state strategy. It actively participates in NATO operations to show that it is a worthy county for membership and it can be considered from the strategy of status-seeking. And from the strategy of negotiation it is a country, which is able to show it veto power in WTO and conduct negotiations with superpowers.
