Abstract: | Práce pojednává o zastoupení mužů a žen v rámci mezinárodních trestních soudů. |

Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with representation of men and women in international criminal courts. Its aim is to find out how men and women are represented in selected courts and how this representation has changed over time. First, the theoretical concept of gender mainstreaming, its origins, development and application in international institutions and international criminal courts are presented. Five selected courts are introduced: the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia, the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, the Special Tribunal for Sierra Leone, the Special Tribunal for Lebanon and the International Criminal Court. For each court, the circumstances of its origin are briefly presented and then the way the court proceeds in selecting its judges is explained. The last part presents an analysis that was compiled on the basis of biographical data of former and current judges of selected courts. The result of this analysis is to determine the ratio of male and female judges of these courts during their operation. In addition to the development of the situation in each court, the similarities and differences in the development of individual courts are compared with each other. |
