| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mezinárodní nevládní organizací Amnesty International a jejími aktivitami ve vybraných afrických státech v souvislosti s problematikou trestu smrti. Konkrétně se věnuje Gambii, Jižnímu Súdánu a Egyptu. Cílem této práce je zjistit, jak se trestu smrti Amnesty International v každé ze zemí věnuje a jaké politiky a nástroje užívá za účelem jeho zrušení. Teoretická část se zabývá obecně mezinárodními nevládními organizacemi, Amnesty International a jejími metodami a politikami. V empirické části je popsáno použití těchto metod a politik na konkrétních případech boje Amnesty International proti trestu smrti ve vybraných zemích. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with international non-governmental organization called Amnesty International and its role in selected African countries in connection with the issue of the death penalty. This paper focuses on the Gambia, South Sudan, and Egypt. The aim of this thesis is to find out how Amnesty International deals with the death penalty in each of the selected countries and what policies and tools it uses in order to abolish it. The theoretical part describes international non-governmental organizations, Amnesty International and its methods and policies. The empirical part is based on application of these methods and policies to specific cases of Amnesty International's fight against the death penalty in selected countries. |
