Abstract: | In the last decade, the growing popularity of speciality beer and beer from smaller producers has been reflected in the rapid growth of the number of micro-breweries, both in the Czech Republic and the European market. There were 483 of them registered in the Czech Republic alone in 2019. The main goal of this diploma thesis is to propose the ideal entry strategy for any Czech micro-brewery into a new (specifically German) foreign market. Tools for examining the internal (SWOT analysis) and external (PEST analysis) environment were used to create a strategic input plan. The whole plan is designed to take into account as much as possible the resources that are available to such small players. The entry strategy is supplemented by a proposal for a communication strategy. The communication strategy is largely based on the questionnaire survey. The entry strategy also draws on the the valuable experience of real Czech producers, with whom we have successfully established contact. Their valuable knowledge from practice is included in the strategy. The secondary goal of the thesis is to describe the situation of Czech microbreweries and to reveal trends and characteristics of their market. |
