| Abstract: | V posledních desetiletích lze pozorovat nárůst významu průmyslových klastrů na ekonomikách států, což je zapříčiněno jejich schopností ovlivnit ekonomickou prosperitu jednotlivých regionů. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vládní Iniciativou inovativních superklastrů v Kanadě, která podporuje perspektivní kanadské průmyslové klastry a tím zvýší především konkurenceschopnost a inovativnost země. Cílem této bakalářské práce je na základě rozboru kanadských klastrů, zhodnotit silné a slabé stránky, příležitosti a hrozby pětiletého plánu Iniciativy inovativních superklastrů v Kanadě. Kanadské klastry jsou nejprve identifikovány na teoretickém základu uvedeném v první kapitole, následně je rozebrán stav konkurenceschop¬nosti a schopnosti aplikace inovací Kanady jak v globálním měřítku, tak ve vztahu k podobně vyspělým ekonomikám. Tuto kapitolu uzavírá úvod do vládní Iniciativy inovativních superklastrů a jejich výběr. Poslední kapitola je poté zaměřena na klastry samotné a postavení daných průmyslových odvětví v regionech, ve kterých se superklastry nachází. Závěrečná část práce se věnuje SWOT analýze Iniciativy inovativních superklastrů jako syntéze veškerých informací zjištěných v průběhu zpracovávání tématu. |

| Abstract: | Over the last decades, the importance of industrial clusters have risen in countries’ economies as they have the ability to increase the regional economic performance. This thesis deals with the Innovation Superclusters Initiative of the Canadian government which aims to strengthen Canada’s most promising clusters and thus enhance the country’s competitiveness and implementation of innovative products, solutions, and ideas. The objective of this thesis is to evaluate the advantages and limitations of the five-year plan of Innovation Superclusters Initiative and to assess the opportunities and threats associated with it. It will be achieved through an analysis of Canadian industry clusters and Canada’s position in global competitiveness and innovations. Furthermore, the thesis provides the reader with general information about the Initiative as a part of the Canadian budget for 2017 and the selection of the superclusters. This part is followed by a detailed investigation of the five final superclusters and the role of industries in regions they operate in. In the last part of the thesis was conducted a SWOT analysis of the Innovation Superclusters Initiative, which was based on the information and data collected within the elaboration of this topic. |
