| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se opírá o rešerši literatury zaměřené na Teorii cílů Lathama a Locka a na motivaci a zvýšenou výkonnost díky nastaveným cílům. Na základě rešeršního základu proběhla výzkumná část primárně pomocí kvalitativního výzkumu pro dosažení cíle práce, tedy podpořit myšlenku, že Teorie cíle nemusí být za všech okolností platná a splnit tak záměr práce, a to sice být podkladem pro další výzkumy zaměřující se na otevřenost Teorie cíle nebo na stejný cíl jako tato diplomová práce. Na základě provedeného výzkumu byl definován nový model nastavení cílů, který vychází z původního vysoce výkonného cyklu definovaného Lathamem a Lockem. |

| Abstract: | This thesis is grounded in research of literature focusing on the Goal setting theory by (Edwin A.) Locke and (Gary) Latham and increased performance through set goals. Based on the research grounds a practical study was carried out primarily using qualitative analysis in order to achieve the goal of this thesis, that is to provide further support of the notion that the Goal setting Theory does not necessarily always have to be applicable and to fulfil the thesis target of serving as foundation for further studies focusing on the “openness” of Goal setting or the same topic as of this thesis. Based on research done a new model of setting goals was defined which builds on the original High-Performance Cycle as defined by Latham and Locke. |
