| Abstract: | The thesis aims to provide an understanding of Japan’s current and future prospects in global trade and investment. The first part is devoted to the macroeconomic overview of Japan since the 1990s and mainly focuses on the progress that has been achieved after the great recession. In the second part, the trade structure is analyzed and described through the import and export of goods and services, the major trade partners and agreements. In the last part, the overall investment climate is being examined through FDI flows and trends with different countries and sectors. |

| Abstract: | Cílem práce je prohloubit porozumění současného a budoucího postavení Japonska v globálním obchodě a investicích. První část je věnována makroekonomickému přehledu Japonska od roku 1990 a je zaměřena především na pokrok, který byl dosažen po recesi. Ve druhé části je analyzována struktury obchodu a je popsána v exportu a importu zboží a služeb, hlavních obchodních partnerech a dohodách. V poslední části je analyzováno investiční klima prostřednictvím toků PZI a trendů s různými zeměmi a v hlavních sektorech. |
