| Abstract: | Tato práce se zabývá konceptem environmentální bezpečnosti a jeho užití na příkladu Amazonie. Cílem práce je zhodnotit environmentální situaci Amazonského pralesa zejména ve spojitosti s globální změnou klimatu, masivním odlesňováním a s tím souvisejícími požáry, a posoudit, jaký postoj k tomuto problému zaujímají amazonské státy, i vybraní mezinárodní aktéři mající v tomto regionu své zájmy. Z práce vyplývá, že změna klimatu a nekontrolovatelné odlesňování představují naléhavý problém, kterým je třeba se v rámci mezinárodních vztahů aktivně zabývat. I proto je na tuto problematiku nahlíženo v širokém mezinárodním kontextu. |

| Abstract: | This thesis deals with the concept of environmental security and its application on the example of the Amazon.The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the environmental situation of the Amazon rainforest, especially in connection with global climate change, massive deforestation and related fires, and assess the attitude of the Amazon states to this problem and selected international actors with interests in the region.The thesis shows that climate change and uncontrollable deforestation are urgent issues that need to be actively addressed in international relations. This is one of the reasons why this issue is viewed in a broad international context. |
