| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá změnou mocenského postavení USA v regionu Blízkého východu v kontextu Belt and Road Initiative formou případové studie na Saúdskou Arábii. Stanovuje hypotézu, že ekonomický projekt BRI a s ním související zvyšující se aktivita Číny v regionu ovlivňuje mocenské postavení USA. Práce testuje hypotézu na základě analýzy vládních dokumentů, odborných publikací, článků a zpravodajských zdrojů. Vychází z teorie moci a za pomoci jejího rozdělení na systémovou, státní a substátní dimenzi se snaží o vyhodnocení změny mocenského postavení USA z politického, ekonomického a bezpečnostně-vojenského hlediska. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the change of the power position of the USA in the Middle East in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). It sets the hypothesis that the economic project the BRI and the increasing activity of China in the region has an influence on the power position of the United States. The hypothesis is examined in a case study of Saudi Arabia. Resources used for the analysis consist of state documents, research papers, articles and news sources. By applying the theory of power and its division into systematic, state and substate dimension the bachelor thesis will try to evaluate the shift of the power position of the USA in the political, economic and security-military categories. |
