| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se věnuje dopadům zbrojních sankcí uložených Evropskou unií (EU) na obchod se zbraněmi v praxi. V první polovině se práce zabývá sankcemi v kontextu zahraniční politiky, současné sankční praxi mezinárodních organizací a principy fungování mezinárodního obchodu se zbraněmi. Cílem práce je zhodnotit projev a naplnění cílů zbrojních sankcí EU v praxi na základě analýzy dostupných dat o transferech zbraní, vojenského materiálu a vydávaných exportních licencí. Výzkumné jádro tvoří druhá polovina práce, jejíž náplní je analýza čtyř sankčních režimů – dvou autonomně uložených EU a dvou převzatých EU od OSN. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis is focusing on the impacts of European union (EU) arms embargoes on the international arms trade. First part of the thesis is introducing sanctions in the context of foreign policy, present sanctioning practice of international organizations and the basic principles of the international arms trade. The target of the thesis is to evaluate the impacts and fulfillment of the goals of selected EU arms embargoes based on analysis of available data on transfers of arms, military equipment and export licenses issued. Core of the research is created in the second part of the thesis which is analyzing four arms embagroes – two autonomously imposed by the EU and two adopted by the EU from the United nations. |
