| Abstract: | Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem konvergence na příkladu Řecka a Španělska. U těchto dvou zemí byla do globální finanční krize v roce 2009 zaznamenána relativně silná konvergence k Evropské unii. Cílem bakalářské práce je nalézt příčiny, proč Španělsko po této krizi roku 2009 k průměru EU konvergovalo a Řecko naopak divergovalo. Práce je strukturována do dvou hlavních kapitol. První kapitola poskytuje teoretické vymezení konvergence a hospodářského růstu a představuje jeho zdroje a bariéry. Druhá kapitola zkoumá konvergenci Řecka a Španělska na základě vývoje HDP na obyvatele. Součástí kapitoly je analýza lidského kapitálu a technologického pokroku obou zemí. |

| Abstract: | Bachelor thesis deals with development of convergence on the example of Greece and Spain. Untill the global financial crisis of 2009 both of these countries convergened strongly towards the European Union. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find causes why did Spain convergene after this crisis towards the EU average and Greece did not. Bachelor thesis is structured into two main chapters. The first chapter provides theoretical approach of convergence and economic growth and introduces its determinants and barriers. The second chapter examines convergence of Greece and Spain on the basis of GDP per capita development. This chapter includes analysis of human capital and technological progress for both these countries, too. |
