| Abstract: | Wearables jsou malá elektronická zařízení, která se nosí na těle nebo v jeho těsné blízkosti a komunikují s okolním světem pomocí komunikačních technologií. Jedná se poměrně o novou technologii, která se ovšem velmi rychle šíří. Česká republika je jednou ze zemí, ve které se v následujících letech očekává velký nárůst v oblíbenost wearables nejen u spotřebitelů, ale také u firem. Cílem této práce je zjistit současný stav wearables v České republice a identifikovat, jakých přínosů a funkcí si uživatelé nejvíce cenní a které bariéry naopak v současné době brání rychlejšímu přijetí této technologie.V úvodní části je vysvětlen pojem wearables, shrnuta jeho historie a je provedeno rozdělení na základě typů zařízení. V druhé části jsou popsány oblasti, ve kterých se wearables využívá. Také je provedena analýza sociálního aspektu a technologických problémů, se kterými se wearables potýkají. Ve třetí části je popsán světový trh s wearables a jsou představeny největší společnosti, které wearables vyrábějí. V poslední části je proveden empirický výzkum v České republice na zjištění současného stavu a identifikaci přínosů a bariér, které brání rychlejšímu šíření této technologie. Na závěr je provedena diskuse k výsledkům průzkumu. |

| Abstract: | Wearables are small electronic devices, that are worn on the body or in its close proximity and communicate with the surrounding world with the help of communication technologies. It is a relatively new technology, however very fast spreading. The Czech Republic is one of the countries in which a large increase in the popularity of wearables is expected in the coming years, not only among consumers, but also among companies.The aim of this thesis is to find out the current state of wearables in the Czech Republic and to identify which benefits and features users value most and which barriers, on the contrary, currently prevent faster adoption of this technology.The introduction part explains the term wearables, summarizes its history and classifies it based on device types. The second part describes the areas in which wearables are used, and the social aspect and technological problems that wearables face are analysed. The third part describes the world market for wearables and introduces the largest companies that manufacture these products. In the last part, empirical research is conducted in the Czech Republic to determine the current state and identify the benefits and barriers that prevent the faster spread of this technology. Finally, a discussion of the results of the survey is made. |
