Abstract:
Lately there has been a major diversity and inclusion movement in the corporate world, influencing many companies to change their human resource practices. However, many fast-growing technological companies still tend to have little diversity, especially regarding the inclusion of female and aged professionals. The question of this research is whether this lack of gender and age diversity in the IT sector has a negative impact on the satisfaction of employees. This study aims to investigate gender and age composition in technological companies and find if organizational diversity influences job satisfaction. To achieve the proposed purpose multimethod research design will be used to give a comprehensive overview of the topic. First, I will use qualitative interviews with experts from the IT sector. Secondly, the anonymized questionnaire data, obtained from Talent Data Labs, will be used for quantitative research. In particular, the statistical analysis will be applied to identify the effects of age and gender diversity on job satisfaction.
