Abstract: | Migrace je jeden z nejvýraznějších politicko-sociálních fenoménů posledních několika let. |

Abstract: | Migration is one of the most significant political and social phenomena of the last few years. Countries are facing more difficult and more challenging demands on their migration policies. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to find out whether it is possible and if so, then how much can the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic influence migration flows to their countries only using their migration policies. Quantitative research in the form of a questionnaire was conducted amongst 306 immigrants located in the Czech or Slovak Republic. By comparing, analysing and commenting on the results of the survey from these two countries, it was found that the migration policies of both countries do not have a significant impact on the country's positive migration flows. On the other hand, migration flows are significantly affected by macroeconomic indicators such as the average wage or the unemployment rate. |
