Analysis of Logistic Processes in Romotop spol. s r. o

Logistics as one of the main supportive systems of manufacturing firms represents a significant factor in managing the effectivity of production capabilities. Companies that use all of their production capacities have to also consider maximal use of their processes connected to material flow, which enables them to achieve necessary competitive advantages. The object of this Bachelor´s thesis is to analyse inner logistic processes of a production company Romotop spol. s r. o. according to the principles of lean logistics. By inspecting the distribution of manufacturing technologies and machines, a material flow layout was created to show the path of material through warehouse and manufacturing areas. This flow had been observed and bottleneck-like places were identified, which are subject to ineffectiveness like excessive manipulation, insufficiency in information and identification systems and warehousing methods. Seven bottleneck-like places, where a type of wasting had been recognised, were described as an outcome of lean analysis. To ensure maximal use of capacities and to maximise effectiveness in these logistic activities, optimized measures were suggested to lower total costs and to strengthen the company’s position in competitive environment.
