| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na postavení žen na trzích práce v rámci České republiky a Evropské Unie a jejich rovné příležitosti. Hlavní důraz je kladen na popis rozdílného postavení žen a mužů na současném trhu práce, který je podložen rešerší odborné literatury, vědeckých článků a sociologických výzkumů. Práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou vymezená základní teoretická východiska za účelem následujícího zpracování praktické části. Dále jsou objasněny hlavní příčiny horizontální a vertikální segregace žen na trzích práce a nastíněna problematika budování kariéry žen během a po návratu z mateřské dovolené. Praktická část obsahuje můj vlastní kvalitativní výzkum. Je zde srovnána situace žen na trhu práce v ČR v komparaci s ostatními zeměmi EU, identifikovány hlavní překážky, kterým musí čelit ženy v managementu a problémy, se kterými se setkávají v práci z důvodu mateřské dovolené. Na závěr jsou podány návrhy a doporučení, které by mohly vést ke zlepšení situace v této oblasti. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on problematics of the position of women in the labor markets within the Czech Republic and the European Union. The main emphasis is on discription of the different position of women and men in the current labor market, which is based on a review of scientific literature, scientific articles and sociological research. The bachelor thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical and the practical part. Literature based theoretical part defines the main terms and definitions for the following processing of the practical part. Also there are explained the main causes of horizontal and vertical segregation of women in the labor markets and the issues of women`s career development during and after returning from maternity leave are outlined. The practical part contains my own qualitative research. It examines the situation of women on the labor market in the Czech Republic in comparison with other EU countries, identifies the main obstacles faced by women in management and the problems they face at work due to maternity leave. In conclusion, I meantion my proposals and recommendations that could lead to improvements in this area. |
